O The Wells Fargo Wagon is a Coming Down the Street…

O please let it be for me! And it was! Not exactly the Wells Fargo Wagon but the UPS truck which nowadays is close enough. My Brother Scan’n Cut is here!!

The Scan’n Cut does just that – it scans and cuts drawn, stamped, or printed images. I don’t know how I lived without it! I L O V E using it. And I am so proud that I learned how to use it all by myself. Usually machines intimidate me but rather than ask my husband to do it, I read everything I could, watched some tutorials, pushed up my sleeves, and just did it. I jumped in with both feet and didn’t even hold my nose. I am very proud of myself.

I’ve nothing to mail this Mail It Monday but I’m hoping to later in the week. It is my goal to send a card each week to my grandchildren. Sam is not yet one years old so I may not make a card each week for him until he is a little older. I also hope to mail out at least one real letter each month along with my season cards and special cards.

I do have something to share besides my machine though and these are two of the Stamping Bella Garden Girl stamp/colored images that I stamped, scanned, cut, and colored with alcohol markers. May I introduce you to:

Miss Marigold

Miss Sweet Pea

They aren’t perfect. It is hard to color the leaf tendrils without it smudging a bit but I am happy with them. Aren’t they adorable?!

They will look sweet on cards and I’m contemplating making a framed sampler of all of them for Hannah’s bedroom.

  1. Oh my! I’m not often jealous of other blog friends but I feel VERY close to being jealous of YOU now! heehee! I just printed out some paper dolls but now I’m not sure I can cut them out perfectly. This would be amazing! HAVE FUN! Hugs, Diane

  2. Oh my GOSH, Gina!!! Miss Marigold and Miss Sweet Pea are too, too adorable!!! Were they done on your new machine? I may have to look into this, as it looks like such fun. I really actually like the smudging effect. It gives it a vintage quality. Great job, my friend!!

  3. Hi Gina~

Oh, I just love that you are sending your grandchildren cards each month! I have been going through boxes and boxes of things to give to my children, and I always smile when I see a card that was given to them by one of their grandmothers!

Have fun with your new machine!

    Hugs and Love,

  4. Congrats on your new toy, and even more so for figuring it out, I am a little intimidated by them too. Those little girls are just too cute, they would make a great sampler for Hannah’s bedroom, enjoy playing with your new machine!!

  5. Diane, I am sure that your paper dolls are perfect. I hope that you post about them. I’d love to see them!

  6. Kitty, that’s me – vintage! ♥

Yes, they were cut with my new machine but I had to stamp the images first and then I colored them. They are so cute!!

  7. Barb, how sweet that you saved all of their cards. I have a treasure box filled with my children’s pictures, cards, and letters. xo

  8. Connie, I’m saving up for a Misti next. Stampin’ Up has something similar but from what I’ve read, I’m not a fan.
