Tea for Two Tuesday

Today is Tea for Two Tuesday! I am determined to make my gentlework a priority in my life. It is easy for my day to get lost in housework, laundry, and other chores and not make time to be creative.

I decided to make tea themed cards. I am really pleased with how they turned out. The first one, featured in this post, is my favorite of the two. I love the raspberry color, doily, ribbon and stamps used.

The second card is a bit out of my comfort zone but it is growing on me. It also includes the raspberry color, doily, ribbon, different stamps, AND it includes something new to me: touches of Wink of Stella gold liquid paint.  (I also added small pearls to the flowers.)

I changed the lighting in the photograph to highlight the Wink of Stella gold.  The true colors in the card are the same as in the featured picture.

All products used were from Stampin’ Up! except for the floral paper.  The stamps are from their Tea Shoppe set.

  1. Oh Gina, the cards are just so darling!!! I wish I lived close to you so that you could inspire me to make cards with you. You do such sweet work! The touch of the doily makes for such a sweet embellishment.

  2. I love both of these! And I agree that it is so easy to let the day be consumed by household duties and never make time for creativity, I struggle with this all the time! I always think I’ll do something creative when the household chores are done but it seems there’s always one more chore to do! Good for you for making time for your artistic pursuits, you’re an inspiration to me!

  3. Your cards are so charming, Gina! I love the tea theme! It is sometimes hard to make time for the things we love to do. Sending hugs and wishes for a ‘creative’ weekend! xx Karen

  4. Tina, I miss having the children around but it does leave me more time to be creative. I hope that you spent some time just for you!
